OVERVIEW

From the dramatic cliffs of the Cape Peninsula to the spice-scented shores of the Indian Ocean, this extraordinary 22-day journey takes you through the very best Africa has to offer. Begin in Cape Town, where Table Mountain rises above a city of world-class food, wine and culture, before flying north to enjoy the magnificent spectacle of the red dunes of the Sossusvlei in Namibia. Glide silently through the papyrus channels of the Okavango Delta by mokoro canoe before witnessing the raw thunder of Victoria Falls — one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Then trade the waterfall for the endless golden plains of Tanzania’s Tarangire and Serengeti, home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth. Stand on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater — the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera — before crossing into Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara to follow the Great Migration across the Mara River. Finally, surrender to the turquoise waters and white sand beaches of Zanzibar, where Stone Town’s UNESCO-listed labyrinth of carved doors, spice markets and Swahili history provides the perfect final chapter to the ultimate African adventure. This is not a holiday. This is a journey that changes you.

Welcome to South Africa. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your Russian-speaking guide, who will assist with your arrival and accompany you on your transfer into the city.

Take the cable car to the summit of Table Mountain for sweeping views over the city and ocean, wander through the colorful streets of Bo-Kaap, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the V&A Waterfront. A full-day excursion around the Cape Peninsula reveals some of the region’s most spectacular scenery, including the legendary coastal road of Chapman’s Peak Drive, the charming African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, and the dramatic landscapes of the Cape of Good Hope within Table Mountain National Park. Evenings are spent back in Cape Town, with time to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

DAY 5-6
2. Sossusvlei (Namibia)

Rising from the ancient Namib Desert, Sossusvlei is one of Africa’s most surreal and breathtaking landscapes. Towering rust-red sand dunes — among the tallest in the world — roll across a vast wilderness that has remained unchanged for millions of years. At their base, the stark white clay pans of Deadvlei create an otherworldly scene of bleached camel thorn skeletons silhouetted against burnt orange dunes and a cobalt blue sky. This is a place of extraordinary silence, impossible colours and humbling scale — a photographer’s paradise and a bucket-list destination unlike anywhere else on earth.

Activities

  • Climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy at sunrise for panoramic desert views

  • Explore the ghostly white clay pan of Deadvlei and its ancient dead trees

  • Scenic hot air balloon flight over the dune sea at dawn

  • Quad biking and sandboarding on the towering red dunes

  • Stargazing under some of the darkest skies on earth

  • Photography tours at golden hour when the dunes glow deepest red

DAY 7-9
3. Okavango Delta (Botswana)

In a continent defined by vast open savannahs, the Okavango Delta stands apart as something truly magical. Each year, floodwaters from Angola’s highlands flow southward into the Kalahari Desert, creating one of the world’s largest and most pristine inland deltas — a shimmering labyrinth of lagoons, islands and papyrus-lined channels that teems with wildlife. There are no roads here. No crowds. Just the sound of a paddle dipping into still water, the grunt of a distant hippo, and the silhouette of an elephant moving through the tree line. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s last true wildernesses, the Okavango Delta offers a safari experience unlike any other — intimate, slow, and profoundly peaceful.

Activities

  • Glide through lily-covered channels on a traditional mokoro dugout canoe

  • Game drives into Moremi Game Reserve for big cat and wild dog sightings

  • Boat safaris for close-up hippo, crocodile and elephant encounters

  • Birdwatching — over 400 species including the African fish eagle

  • Light aircraft scenic flights over the flooded delta

  • Fishing for tigerfish on the Okavango River

  • Cultural visits to local San Bushmen communities

DAY 10-11
4. Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Few places on earth announce themselves quite like Victoria Falls. Known to locals as Mosi-oa-Tunya — the Smoke That Thunders — the falls stretch over 1.7 kilometres and plunge more than 100 metres into the Zambezi Gorge, sending a permanent column of mist visible from 50 kilometres away. Whether you stand drenched on the Zimbabwe viewing path, peer over the edge from Zambia’s Devil’s Pool, or watch the rainbow arc through the spray at midday, Victoria Falls delivers a visceral, unforgettable encounter with the raw power of nature. Beyond the falls themselves, the surrounding bush teems with elephant, hippo and crocodile, and the Zambezi River offers some of the most spectacular adventure activities on the continent.

Activities

  • Walk all 16 viewing points along the Zimbabwe rainforest path

  • White water raft the Zambezi Gorge — world-class Grade 5 rapids

  • Helicopter flight over the falls for a full bird’s eye perspective

  • Sunset cruise on the Zambezi with hippos, crocodiles and elephants

  • Bungee jump from the Victoria Falls Bridge at 111 metres

  • Zip line and gorge swing across the Batoka Gorge

  • Guided walking safari in Zambezi National Park

DAY 12-15
5. Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

There is no wildlife destination on earth quite like the Serengeti. Stretching across 30,000 square kilometres of ancient grassland, woodland and river systems, this is the stage for the greatest show in nature — the Great Migration, in which over two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle move in an endless clockwise circuit in search of fresh grazing. Yet even without the Migration, the Serengeti delivers year-round encounters with lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and giraffe in numbers that make every game drive feel like a documentary come to life. The sheer scale of the landscape — big skies, endless plains, the horizon unbroken in every direction — creates a sense of wildness and freedom that stays with you long after you leave.

Activities

  • Witness the Great Migration river crossings at the Mara River (July–October)

  • Full and half day game drives across the central Seronera Valley

  • Track the Big Five with expert guides and Maasai trackers

  • Hot air balloon safari over the plains at dawn followed by a bush breakfast

  • Night game drives to spot leopard, hyena and aardvark

  • Calving season drives in the southern Serengeti (January–March)

  • Bush dinners under the stars at your tented camp

DAY 16-19
6. Maasai Mara National Park (Kenya)

Straddling the Kenya-Tanzania border, the Maasai Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem and one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves on earth. Famous for the Mara River crossings — where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest brave crocodile-filled waters in a desperate, thundering surge — the Mara also holds the highest density of big cats per square kilometre of any park in Africa. Lions sprawl in the long grass, cheetahs sprint across open plains, and leopards drape themselves across acacia branches with effortless elegance. Beyond the wildlife, the Mara is the ancestral home of the Maasai people, whose warrior culture, red-cloaked herders and elaborate beadwork form a living cultural backdrop to one of Africa’s greatest natural landscapes.

Activities

  • Dawn and dusk game drives for lion, cheetah, leopard and elephant

  • Watch the Great Migration Mara River crossing from prime riverbank positions

  • Pre-dawn hot air balloon safari over the savannah at sunrise

  • Visit an authentic Maasai village and witness traditional dances and ceremonies

  • Guided walking safari with armed Maasai rangers

  • Photography safaris with specialist guides for optimal positioning

  • Fly camping under the stars in remote wilderness areas

DAY 20-22
7. Zanzibar (Tanzania)

After the excitement of safari, your journey concludes on the tropical island of Zanzibar, where pristine white-sand beaches meet the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Here you can unwind in a beachfront resort, explore the historic alleyways of Stone Town, or enjoy snorkeling and diving among colorful coral reefs. With its rich cultural heritage, laid-back atmosphere, and stunning coastal scenery, Zanzibar provides the perfect setting to relax and reflect on your unforgettable African adventure.
